Job Title: ANM Staff – Online Doctor Consultation Support

Location: Project Site / Field-based (as per roster)

Reports To: Project Coordinator / Medical Officer

Job Summary:The ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) will play a key role in assisting online doctor consultations by supporting patients at the ground level. She will be responsible for collecting patients' vital signs, explaining doctor prescriptions, educating patients on medication usage, and ensuring effective coordination between the doctor and the patient during teleconsultation.

1. Key Responsibilities:Vital Signs Monitoring:

• Collect accurate vital parameters such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, blood sugar, and weight before connecting to the doctor.
• Record and report these vitals to the online doctor via designated telemedicine platform or consultation log.

2.Teleconsultation Assistance:

• Facilitate smooth video/audio consultations between the patient and the remote doctor.
• Ensure patient privacy and comfort during the consultation process.
• Brief the doctor about the patient's condition and any relevant history as observed or shared.

3.Prescription Support & Patient Education:

• Read and explain the doctor’s prescription to the patient in the local language.
• Guide the patient on how and when to take prescribed medications.
• Educate on dosage, dietary precautions, and importance of medication adherence.

4.Follow-up and Record Keeping:

• Maintain proper records of consultations, vital readings, and medication dispensed.
• Schedule and remind patients about follow-up consultations as per doctor’s advice.

5.Health Education:

• Provide basic health awareness and hygiene education when required.
• Counsel patients on general health maintenance and disease prevention.

6.Coordination and Reporting:

• Report daily activity to the supervisor/medical coordinator.

Qualifications & Skills:ANM certified from a recognized institution and registered with the nursing council.

• Basic knowledge of measuring vitals and first aid practices.
• Familiarity with mobile apps and basic smartphone usage.
• Strong communication and counseling skills.
• Local language fluency and ability to handle patients empathetically.
• Other Requirements:Must own or have access to a two-wheeler and must know how to drive it.
• Willingness to work in field/remote areas as per project needs.
• Ability to travel within assigned cluster or block.
