AC Technician

• Job ResponsibilitiesInstallation, testing and commissioning of split AC, cassette AC, ductable AC, package AC and other HVAC systems.
• Carry out routine preventive and breakdown maintenance of air-conditioning systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical and refrigeration-related faults.
• Check and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, blower motors, fan motors, thermostats and control panels.
• Perform gas charging, gas leak testing, vacuuming and refrigerant recovery as required.
• Check refrigerant pressure, temperature, current, voltage and system performance.
• Attend complaints and complete repair work within the required time.
• Carry out cleaning and servicing of filters, coils, drain lines, blowers and outdoor units.
• Handle basic electrical works related to AC/HVAC equipment, including contactors, relays, capacitors, MCBs and control wiring.
• Read and understand basic HVAC drawings, electrical wiring diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance, breakdowns, service reports and spare parts used.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other site technicians.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements and site regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in good condition.
• Perform any other HVAC-related duties assigned by the supervisor/engineer.
• Required SkillsGood knowledge of AC and refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of electrical and control systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC equipment independently.
• Knowledge of refrigerants, pressure gauges and HVAC tools.
• Ability to work at project sites, hospitals, commercial buildings and industrial locations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel to different project sites when required.

QualificationITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / HVAC or equivalent technical qualification preferred.

Experience2–5 years of relevant experience in AC/HVAC installation, maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.
