Network Engineer

We are looking for a Network Engineer with strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, troubleshooting, and network infrastructure. The candidate should be able to configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN/WAN networks and networking devices.

Key Responsibilities*

Configure and maintain routers, switches, and network devices.

Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking environments.

Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, and switching.

Understand and manage IP addressing and subnetting.

Configure and troubleshoot IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

Implement and troubleshoot static and dynamic routing.

Working knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.

Configure and troubleshoot NAT for internet connectivity.

Manage network services such as DHCP and DNS.

Understand and troubleshoot ARP and ICMP communication.

Implement and troubleshoot STP to prevent Layer 2 network loops.

Understand TCP/IP and UDP communication and their use cases.

Troubleshoot network connectivity using tools such as ping, ARP, routing tables, and device logs.

Troubleshoot DNS, gateway, routing, firewall, and physical connectivity issues.

Understand common network protocols and services including SSH, HTTP, and HTTPS.

Monitor network performance and identify connectivity or performance issues.

Analyze switch MAC address tables and routing tables during troubleshooting.

Identify and resolve issues such as duplicate IP addresses, packet loss, and intermittent connectivity.

Maintain network availability while minimizing downtime.

Follow network security and infrastructure best practices.
