About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laravel Backend Developer with DevOps Skills to join our growing development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs that power modern web applications. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performance, and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using the Laravel framework.

Architect and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and migrations for performance and scalability.

Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using Laravel Sanctum, Passport, Gates, and Policies.

Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code while following SOLID principles and coding standards.

Integrate third-party services and APIs, including payment gateways, email systems, SMS providers, and cloud storage platforms.

Build and manage queue jobs, scheduled tasks, and event-driven workflows.

Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration between systems.

Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment management across staging and production.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement caching strategies using Redis, Memcached, or similar technologies.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and architecture decisions to maintain engineering excellence.

Required Qualifications

1+ years of professional experience in PHP development with Laravel.

Strong understanding of MVC architecture, Eloquent ORM, and the Laravel ecosystem.

Hands-on experience with Laravel tools such as Horizon, Telescope, and Nova.

Proficiency in relational database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, including versioning and documentation.

Familiarity with Git, Docker, and Linux-based server environments.

Experience with testing frameworks such as PHPUnit or Pest.

Strong knowledge of caching, queuing systems (Redis, SQS), and asynchronous job processing.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS, cloud infrastructure, or containerized deployments.

Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Vue.js or React.js.

Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
