Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
YouTube Channel Coordinator — Publishing, SEO & Growth (Media & Content)
Gets every IWLD video from shoot to publish on time, packaged to be found, and compliant with YouTube’s policies.
Job Title: YouTube Channel Coordinator
Designation (on record): Posting Coordinator (per Appointment Letter Annexure A)
Department: MED — Media & Content (Function: Publishing & Distribution — YouTube)
Reports To: Publishing Manager
Grade: G3 – G4 (per Appointment Letter Annexure A, based on experience)
Site: Margao Office
Work Mode: Work from Office — this is an in-person role, not WFH
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Experience: Freshers with strong communication and a genuine understanding of YouTube are considered. Experience managing or growing a YouTube channel is an advantage, not a requirement.
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month (based on experience and interview performance)
. ABOUT THE ROLE
IWLD publishes long-form lectures, podcasts, recipe videos and Shorts on YouTube. This role owns that channel’s publishing pipeline end to end: tracking each video from shoot to final edit, making sure it is correctly packaged — the title, description, tags and thumbnail text written by the Content Writer and reviewed by you — checking it against YouTube’s policies, publishing it on schedule, and then reading the numbers to make the next one do better.
Compliance is not a side task in this seat. A health channel lives or dies on YouTube’s policies. This business has already had its accounts restricted across platforms at the same time, for content that packaged weight-loss claims and diet plans in ways the platforms treat as harmful. Every video that goes out from this seat has passed a compliance check first — a video that gets removed reaches nobody.
You will not shoot or edit. You will make sure what the team shoots and edits reaches YouTube on time, correctly packaged, and safely.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Production Coordination & Content Calendar
- Maintain the YouTube content calendar — what publishes when, in which format (long-form, Short, podcast, recipe).
- Track every video from shoot to final edit to thumbnail to approval, and chase each stage so the publish date holds.
- Flag delays to the Publishing Manager early, with the specific stage and person the video is waiting on.
- Make sure there is always a buffer of ready-to-publish videos, so the schedule never depends on a same-day edit.
B. Publishing & Channel Management
- Upload and schedule videos in YouTube Studio on the agreed dates and times.
- Add chapters, captions and subtitles, playlists, end screens and cards to every long-form video.
- Keep playlists, channel sections and the channel page organised and current.
- Check every published video after it goes live — correct thumbnail, correct title, links working, nothing missing.
C. SEO Packaging — Review and Backup
- Titles, descriptions, tags and thumbnail text for every video are written by the Content Writer. This role reviews each package before scheduling — does it match the video, is it searchable and clickable, and is it complete.
- Know YouTube SEO well enough to write a full package yourself — titles in English, Hindi or Hinglish, complete descriptions with chapters and timestamps, and tags based on research — whenever the writer is unavailable or an upload is urgent.
- Share search and performance insights with the Content Writer, so the next package is better than the last.
- Brief the design team on thumbnail text and direction, and review thumbnails before they go live.
- Test and improve titles and thumbnails on videos that are underperforming.
D. YouTube Compliance — Before Every Upload
Every title, description, thumbnail and pinned comment is checked against these before publishing. If any item fails, the video is held and escalated to the Publishing Manager — it is not published "with a small change" in the hope it passes.
- No specific weight-loss-in-a-timeframe claims — no "X kg in Y days" in a title, thumbnail or description.
- No numbered, levelled or step-by-step restrictive diet or fasting plans packaged as something to follow.
- No drug-related words at all, even when warning against them — moderation matches words, not intent.
- No before-and-after body imagery tied to the programme, including implied transformations.
- Never combine diet instructions and a WhatsApp number or app-download link in the same video or description.
- No medical claims — nothing that says the programme treats, cures or reverses a condition.
- Monitor the channel’s status daily, and report any warning, age restriction, removal or strike to the Publishing Manager immediately.
E. Comments & Community
- Pin and highlight useful comments, and set up the channel’s community tab posts as planned.
- Replies to comments are handled by the Chat team; this role flags patterns, repeated questions and anything needing a content decision.
- Escalate any negative trend or harmful comment thread immediately.
F. Analytics & Channel Growth
- Track the numbers that drive growth — impressions, click-through rate, average view duration, retention, subscribers — video by video.
- Send a weekly channel report: what worked, what did not, and what you would change next week.
- Identify the topics, formats and title styles that perform, and feed them back into the content calendar.
- Plan Shorts to support long-form videos, not only as separate uploads.

5. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves
- Freshers are welcome to apply. Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage, not a requirement — full training on IWLD’s SOPs, templates and systems is provided.
- Good spoken and written communication in both English and Hindi.
- Comfortable working on a laptop for a full working day.
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets, Docs and Drive — able to build and maintain a tracker, not only open one.
- Comfortable working on the company dashboard for daily entries, checks and reports (training provided).
- Reading comprehension — able to read an SOP or a written instruction and act on it correctly without being walked through it.
- Follow-up discipline — a real method for tracking pending items, and the persistence to chase them politely until they are closed.
- Ownership — takes responsibility for the outcome, not merely for having passed the message on.
- Understands YouTube from the creator side — what makes a title and thumbnail get clicked, and why a video keeps or loses its viewers.
- Knows YouTube SEO well enough to review — and, when needed, write — titles, descriptions, tags and thumbnail text.
- Writes well in English and Hindi, including natural Hinglish for titles.
- Deadline-driven: a publish date is a commitment, not a target.
- Careful enough to catch a wrong word in a title before thousands of people see it.
Good to Have
- Has managed or grown a YouTube channel, personal or professional.
- Working familiarity with YouTube Studio and YouTube Analytics.
- Experience with keyword research tools for YouTube.
- Basic Canva or design sense for thumbnail review.
6. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Every video publishes on its scheduled date, fully packaged — nothing goes up without chapters, a complete description and a reviewed thumbnail.
- Zero strikes, removals or restrictions caused by what was published from this seat.
- Click-through rate, watch time and subscribers trend upward over the months.
- A weekly report that tells the team something useful, and changes what is published next.
7. WHY JOIN US
- Work directly with management on the systems the company actually runs on.
- Be part of a 160+ member team across teaching, sales, media, technology, hostel and operations.
- Build and improve real systems at scale — this is a role where what you fix stays fixed.
- A defined growth path, with full training on every SOP, template and system you will use.
8. NOTE
The designation on record is Posting Coordinator, which keeps this role on the same progression path as the rest of the publishing team. Full training on IWLD’s content, compliance rules and publishing process is provided during onboarding.
