Key Responsibilities

Fire Safety Management

• Ensure all firefighting and fire detection systems are fully operational and maintained as per statutory requirements.
• Monitor the maintenance of fire alarms, hydrants, sprinklers, pumps, extinguishers, and emergency lighting systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of fire and life safety equipment.
• Maintain records of testing, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Issuing work permits
• Prior experience of Marsh & BSC audit is mandatory

Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local fire department regulations, NBC guidelines, and company safety policies.
• Coordinate fire NOCs, audits, and statutory inspections.
• Monitor contractor safety compliance during maintenance and project activities.
• Investigate fire and safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.

Emergency Preparedness

• Develop and implement emergency response procedures.
• Conduct periodic fire drills and evacuation exercises.
• Train employees, security personnel, and emergency response teams on fire safety procedures.
• Act as Incident Controller during emergencies.

Safety Audits & Risk Assessment

• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective measures.
• Track closure of safety observations and audit findings.
• Prepare monthly safety performance reports and MIS.

Training & Awareness

• Organize fire and safety awareness programs.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for staff and contractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the facility.

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Supervise fire system AMC vendors and service providers.
• Verify service reports, maintenance activities, and compliance records.
• Ensure contractors follow permit-to-work (PTW) and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Fire Engineering, Fire & Safety, Industrial Safety, or related field.
• Sub Officer/Station Officer certification preferred.
• Additional certifications in Fire & Safety Management will be an advantage.

Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in Fire & Safety management of commercial buildings, IT parks, industrial facilities, or large campuses.
• Experience in handling firefighting systems, audits, emergency management, and statutory compliance.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and safety regulations.
• Emergency response and incident management skills.
• Risk assessment and safety audit expertise.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• 100% compliance with fire safety regulations.
• Timely closure of safety observations and audit findings.
• Zero major fire incidents due to system failure.
• Successful completion of fire drills and emergency exercises.
• High fire system uptime and maintenance compliance.
