About your team
You will be part of our Global Procurement function which has c.130 staff based across the UK, India, Continental Europe, and Asia Pacific, managing $800m of spend across 26 countries.
The Procurement Operational Performance team is responsible for driving operational excellence across Procurement by leading, supporting and delivering strategic performance objectives through two specialist teams:
- Procurement Systems & Tooling, responsible for the operation, support, governance and continuous improvement of Procurement technology, ensuring systems remain stable, effective and aligned to business needs.
- Procurement Development, responsible for leading strategic transformation initiatives, managing the Procurement change roadmap and ensuring successful implementation and embedding of change into business-as-usual operations.
Together, these teams enable Procurement to operate efficiently today while building the capabilities required for the future.
About your role
As the Assistant Manager for Procurement Change Delivery, you will be responsible for managing change and delivering key projects across Global Procurement.
The role will require an understanding of end-to-end Procurement functions and processes, experience in change and project management, and a proven track record in successfully deploying and embedding new and enhanced processes and technology to achieve defined benefits and outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a portfolio of change initiatives across Procurement throughout the Change Lifecycle
- Champion and adhere to the Procurement Change Management framework, and contribute to it’s ongoing evolution
- Manage the delivery of large & small scale change projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project governance
- Work hand in hand with Procurement Systems and Tooling team, all impacted teams across Procurement and key stakeholders including external parties (e.g. technology solution providers), FIL internal technology teams, business SMEs and Procurement leadership throughout the project lifecycle to successfully deliver change
- Lead various project management calls and meetings across cross functional delivery teams
- Support the articulation of benefits/costs and the development of business cases
- Develop comprehensive project delivery plans including budget and resources required
- Use appropriate tools and governance techniques to monitor, report and manage project status, budgets, risks, issues, mitigation strategies and changes to scope and schedule
- Identify project problems, determine solution options and gain consensus from relevant decision makers on action plans
- Ensure effective stakeholder management and communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure Change Impact assessments are completed and that robust and effective business readiness plans are in place and executed
- Represent projects at various governance forums within Procurement and across the broader FIL organisation
- Own, maintain and enhance Procurement Change Management tools developed using PowerApps, PowerBI and Power Automate
About You
You are a collaborative individual with a positive can-do attitude. You can work independently and as part of a team, with proven organisation skills and an ability to multitask by managing projects and activities concurrently.
You’ll bring;
- MBA/BBA and/or B-Tech Graduate
- 6+ years of experience in the Procurement domain with a good knowledge of Procurement related processes and functions that may include Sourcing, Supplier Management, Contract Management, Purchase to Pay, Third Party risk management, Due diligence, Supplier onboarding
- 6+ years of experience in delivering Change
- Knowledge of Procurement technology solutions e.g. ProcessUnity, Oracle Fusion
- Experience in developing solutions using MS Power Apps/Automate/BI
- Strong track record of delivering positive business outcomes through process and technology enhancements
- Awareness of risk management concepts and processes, ideally in FS or other regulated industry
- Stakeholder Management - Ability to work in a global environment with people across the globe in different time zones and with different cultures
- Ability to collate & challenge requirements gathering, and be able to effectively communicate how requirements will be accommodated in future process or technical solutions
- Ability to positively challenge stakeholders when necessary, and to identify alternative solutions when needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues simply.
- Technical mindset, and a natural interest in and aptitude for learning about new tools and systems
- Willingness to learn, and evidence of building and applying knowledge
- Strong understanding of change management practices including governance, project management, planning, communications etc
- Experience in process mapping and analysis
