Process Overview*

Global Financial Control India is the global delivery footprint of the bank’s Global Financial Control function within the Chief Financial Officer group and is responsible for multiple functions including U.S. and Regional Legal Entity Controllership, Regulatory Reporting, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Tax Accounting & Compliance, Treasury, Operational Risk & Controls Oversight, Finance Change, Production Services and Data Management.

Job Description*

• The Business Architect / Process Redesign Lead serves as a member of the GFC COO Team, responsible for reimagining and redesigning finance, accounting, and operational processes to leverage AI-enabled capabilities at scale.
• This role partners with Process Owners, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Data teams to transform existing workflows into streamlined, controlled, and scalable target-state operating models. The individual will lead end-to-end process reengineering efforts, ensuring that AI solutions are applied to the right business problems and integrated into sustainable operating processes rather than deployed as isolated desktop automations.
• In addition to process transformation responsibilities, the role will contribute across other AI team functions including intake assessments, business case development, prioritization, governance readiness, adoption planning, value realization, and delivery support.

Responsibilities*

Process Redesign & Business Architecture

• Partner with process owners and business leaders to assess current-state processes and identify opportunities for AI-enabled transformation.
• Lead process reengineering initiatives for finance, accounting, regulatory reporting, operational, and support processes.
• Design future-state workflows that optimize controls, reduce manual effort, improve quality, and enhance scalability.
• Map existing desktop tools, manual activities, and localized solutions to enterprise AI capabilities and reusable platforms.
• Evaluate impacts to governance, controls, operating procedures, and organizational responsibilities resulting from AI adoption.
• Document business requirements, process flows, decision points, control frameworks, and target-state operating models.

AI Strategy & Solution Development

• Participate in intake, triage, and prioritization activities for AI opportunities across GFC.
• Help assess value, feasibility, reusability, data readiness, technology dependencies, and control implications of proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with Technology, Data Management, and CFO Innovation teams to shape solution designs and implementation approaches.
• Support development of business cases, value realization plans, and executive materials used for funding and prioritization decisions.

Delivery, Governance & Adoption

• Partner with project managers, technology teams, and process owners throughout design, testing, deployment, and adoption phases.
• Ensure target-state processes incorporate appropriate controls, human-in-the-loop oversight, auditability, evidence retention, and risk management requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing, process validation, and operational readiness activities.
• Assist with training, communications, adoption planning, and change management efforts to drive successful implementation.
• Contribute to benefits tracking and measurement of business outcomes including cycle time reduction, quality improvements, productivity gains, and control effectiveness.

Requirements*

Education*

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Data Science etc.)

Certifications If Any

• Finance Domain related trainings /certifications
• Technical certifications in Microsoft Copilot, M365, Studio, Orchestra, RPA tool like UiPath, Alteryx Advanced and Tableau preferred
• AI enabled automation / workflow solution tools

Experience Range*

• 12-18+ years total experience
• 5+ years leading finance transformation initiatives
• 3+ years working with AI, automation, or digital transformation programs
• Experience managing cross-functional global stakeholders
• Proven record of delivering measurable business outcomes

Candidate is not expected to be a software developer but should be capable of engaging effectively with Technology, Data, and Architecture teams.

Work Timings*

Flexible between 11:30 am to 8:30 pm or 12:30 pm to 9:30 pm
