Role Overview

• Role Title: VMC Operator (Vertical Machining Centre)
• Location: Howrah, West Bengal (Domjur_ nearest candidate prefers)
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (6 days/week & Sunday Fixed week off)
• Experience: Fresher And Experience both can eligible
• Salary: Up to 18K NTH (No PF & ESIC) & Payroll under NATS

Purpose of the Role

To independently operate 3-axis Vertical Machining Centres (VMC) to produce precision mould components, die parts, jigs, fixtures, and sealing components according to engineering drawings and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up workpieces, fixtures, and tooling. Load and verify CNC programs (milling, drilling, tapping, boring) on FANUC or Siemens controllers.
• Quality Control: Inspect parts using precision instruments (verniers, micrometres, height gauges). Maintain ISO 9001:2015 documentation and report deviations.
• Tooling Management: Select cutting tools, set tool length/radius offsets, and monitor tool wear to replace inserts proactively.
• Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform daily preventive maintenance (lubrication, coolant top-up, chip clearing) and uphold 5S standards.

Candidate Profile

• Education: ITI (Machinist / Fitter / Tool & Die Maker) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. (Tool room apprenticeship is an advantage).
• Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on VMC operation in a precision manufacturing or tool room environment. Experience with die steels (OHNS, H13) is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in work coordinates (G54–G59), tool offsets, and basic program editing. Strong understanding of machining parameters (RPM, feed rate) and GD&T symbols.
• Languages: Proficiency in Bengali or Hindi is required; basic English reading for engineering drawings.
