House of Happiness is a Hyderabad-based chocolate and gifting business offering imported chocolates, customised hampers and celebration gifts. Our cake division, HOH Cakes, specialises in custom cakes for birthdays, weddings and special occasions.

We are looking for a skilled, reliable and creative Baker / Pastry Chef who can independently manage cake preparation, baking and decoration while maintaining consistent taste, quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake cakes, sponges, fillings, frostings and other baked desserts.
• Decorate customised cakes using whipped cream, buttercream, ganache and fondant according to customer requirements.
• Create themed cakes, celebration cakes and tiered wedding cakes with neat finishing and secure structural support.
• Plan daily production and complete orders within agreed deadlines.
• Accompany wedding-cake deliveries and handle on-site assembly, placement, final decoration and touch-ups.
• Ensure cakes are properly stored, packed and prepared for safe transportation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, personal hygiene and food-safety standards.
• Monitor ingredient stock, expiry dates and storage conditions; communicate purchasing requirements.
• Follow standard recipes, control portions and minimise wastage.
• Coordinate with the team on cake designs, order details and new flavours.

Requirements

• Practical experience in professional baking and cake decoration.
• Ability to independently complete custom cake orders from preparation to final finishing.
• Good understanding of baking techniques, frosting consistency and cake storage.
• Creativity, attention to detail, punctuality and good teamwork.
• Willingness to support wedding deliveries and work according to scheduled orders, including weekends when required.
• Experience with fondant work and tiered wedding cakes is preferred.
