Fashion Production Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee our complete

manufacturing cycle, with a dedicated focus on Garment Finishing and Quality Control (QC).

You will be the bridge between our design team, master cutters, hand-embroidery (karigars)

artisans, and the final client delivery. Your primary goal is to ensure that production time

lines are strictly met while maintaining the immaculate quality standards expected of a luxury

Fashion house.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Workflow Management

Manage the end-to-end production pipe line from initial sampling to final dispatch for both

bespoke bridal/client orders and seasonal collections.

Allocate tasks efficiently to master tailors, sample makers, and hand-embroidery (karigars)

units.

Maintain accurate production trackers to monitor the live status of every garment, ensuring

deadlines are hit without last-minute delays.

Coordinate with fabric and trim vendors to avoid material shortages that could stall assembly.

To ensure OPTIMUM EFFICIENCYAND DECREASE COST OF PRODUCTION.

2. Rigorous Quality Control (QC)

In-Line Inspection: Check garments during the assembly phase (pattern cutting, initial

stitching, and embroidery frames) to catch symmetry, sizing, or layout issues early.

Embroidery & Fabric Check: Inspect hand-done embellishments ( dabka, dori, gota, appliqué)

for structural integrity, missing beads, loose threads, or fabric strain.

Measurement Accuracy: Verify final garment dimensions against custom client measurement

sheets or standardized tech packs to guarantee a perfect fit.

3. Luxury Finishing Oversight

Supervise the final finishing department to ensure every luxury garment looks flawless inside

and out.

Oversee meticulous pressing /ironing, thread cutting, lining alignments, hook/zipper

installations, and component reinforcement.

Ensure hemlines, hand-stitching (turpai), and edge-binding meet couture standards.

Conduct final "White Glove" inspection before items are cleared for luxury packaging and

client presentation.

4. Maintaining archive of color swatches and embroidery samples. Please build a

format how you will be doing this. This must be done from day 1.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: 4+ years of production and QC experience within an established Indian luxury

couture house, high-end bridal label, or premium export house.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of luxury garment construction, pattern-making,

draping, and various types of traditional Indian hand-embroidery (zardozi, dori, aari, etc.).

Eye for Detail: An absolute perfectionist mindset regarding garment construction, textiles,

color matching, and finishing aesthetics.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, communicate with, and command respect from

internal masters, tailors, and external artisan clusters (karigars).

Tools: Proficiency in maintaining production spreadsheets or using fashion ERP software to

track order statuses.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

On-Time Delivery Rate: Meeting collection deadlines and custom bridal delivery dates.

Rejection/Alteration Rate: Minimizing client alteration requests due to production or

sizing oversight.

Finishing Standard Consistency: Maintaining identical high-tier finishing across both prêt

lines and complex couture pieces.
