Interior Designer

An Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and executing functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces. They work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to translate space requirements into cohesive design concepts.

Key Responsibilities

 Client Consultation & Briefing: Meet clients to understand project scope, functional requirements, budget, and design preferences.

 Space Planning & Conceptualization: Develop initial design concepts, floor plans, 3D renderings, and mood boards that optimize spatial layouts.

 Material & Finishes Selection: Source and select materials, color schemes, lighting fixtures, furniture, cabinetry, wall treatments, and flooring.

 Technical Drawings: Create detailed working drawings, including millwork details, electrical layouts, plumbing plans, and reflected ceiling plans (RCPs).

 Project Management & Supervision: Coordinate with contractors, carpenter teams, vendors, and MEP consultants to ensure execution aligns with specs, budgets, and timelines.

 Budgeting & Procurement: Prepare cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), purchase orders, and monitor expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Skills

 Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

 Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, V-Ray, or Adobe Creative Suite.

 Core Competencies: Strong understanding of ergonomics, building codes, material specifications, joinery details, and spatial proportions.

 Soft Skills: Excellent client-facing presentation skills, project management, problem-solving, and negotiation ability.
