1. Job PurposeTo lead and manage the complete production operations of jewellery display products and packaging materials, ensuring timely delivery, high product quality, optimum manpower utilization, cost control, and efficient use of materials and machinery.

• 2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Production Planning and ControlPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
• Allocate production targets to different sections and monitor achievement.
• Coordinate production activities for jewellery boxes, display trays, necklace busts, pouches, bags, and customized packaging products.
• Monitor work-in-progress and ensure timely completion of orders.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• B. Manpower ManagementSupervise production supervisors, team leaders, operators, helpers, and contract workers.
• Allocate manpower according to production requirements and employee skills.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and overtime.
• Train employees on work methods, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Conduct daily production review meetings with supervisors.
• C. Quality ControlEnsure products meet approved samples, customer specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor quality at every stage, from raw materials to final packing.
• Reduce rejection, rework, material wastage, and customer complaints.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control team to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure consistency in dimensions, finishing, colours, stitching, pasting, printing, assembly, and packaging.
• D. Material and Inventory ManagementCoordinate with Purchase and Stores departments to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
• Monitor consumption of fabrics, foam, velvet, rexine, paperboard, adhesives, plastics, printing materials, and other components as applicable.
• Control excess consumption, scrap, and material wastage.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of production materials and consumables.
• E. Process Improvement and Cost ControlImprove production efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standard production times.
• Improve machine utilization, labour productivity, and workflow.
• Introduce lean manufacturing practices and workplace organization.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• F. Dispatch and Customer CoordinationCoordinate with Sales, Design, Purchase, Quality, and Dispatch teams.
• Prioritize urgent and export orders according to delivery commitments.
• Ensure finished products are packed correctly and dispatched on time.
• Support the resolution of customer quality issues and urgent order changes.
• G. Safety and ReportingMaintain workplace safety, cleanliness, and proper material handling.
• Ensure machines and tools are maintained in good working condition.
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports.
• Track production output, rejection percentage, labour productivity, material wastage, and on-time delivery.
• Report production performance and major operational issues to management.
• 3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Production plan achievement: 95% or above.
• On-time delivery: 95% or above.
• Reduction in rejection and rework.
• Labour productivity and output per shift.
• Material wastage and manufacturing cost reduction.
• Machine downtime and utilization.
• Customer complaints and repeat quality issues.
• Manpower efficiency and workplace safety.

Targets should be finalized according to the company's current production capacity and business requirements.

• 4. Qualifications and ExperienceDiploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in jewellery packaging, display products, gift boxes, printing, handicrafts, or other customized consumer products.
• At least 3 years of experience in a production supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, quality management, and manpower handling.
• Working knowledge of Excel, production reports, ERP systems, and inventory records.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
