Shift Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise overall plant and production activities during the assigned shift.

- Ensure production activities are completed as per the daily production plan and targets.

- Allocate manpower and assign responsibilities to workers/operators.

- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, discipline, and shift handovers.

- Ensure machines and equipment are operated correctly and safely.

- Coordinate with maintenance staff in case of machine breakdowns or technical issues.

- Monitor production output and report delays, wastage, downtime, or operational issues.

- Ensure quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.

- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across the plant.

- Ensure proper handover of pending activities and issues to the next shift supervisor.

- Maintain daily shift reports covering production, manpower, downtime, incidents, and pending tasks.

- Immediately escalate major operational, safety, quality, or equipment-related issues to the Plant Manager.

- Support inventory/material movement and ensure required materials are available for uninterrupted production.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / Graduate or equivalent qualification.

- Candidates with experience in manufacturing, food processing, production, or plant operations will be preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in plant, factory, production, or shift supervision preferred.
