Weigh Bridge Operator

Job Description:

•  Operating the electronic or digital weighbridge.
•  Recording the gross, tare, and net weight of trucks and materials.
•  Verifying vehicle details, driver information, and delivery documents.
•  Issuing weighbridge slips, receipts, and gate passes.
•  Entering weight data into the computer system or logbook.
•  Coordinating with warehouse, dispatch, transport, and security teams.
•  Ensuring vehicles are correctly positioned on the weighbridge before weighing.
•  Reporting discrepancies in weight or documentation to the supervisor.
•  Maintaining daily weighing records and preparing reports.
•  Keeping the weighbridge area clean and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
•  Following company safety procedures and preventing unauthorized weighing.
•  Assisting during stock movement, loading, and unloading operations as required.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of weighbridge operations and documentation.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff.
• Understanding of safety procedures and vehicle movement within the facility.
