Job Summary

We are looking for a technically sound and field-oriented Field Project Engineer with experience in the IT/System Integration industry. The candidate should have good practical knowledge of networking, IP surveillance (CCTV), IT hardware, and structured cabling, along with the ability to execute projects, coordinate with customers, and ensure timely project completion.

The candidate will be responsible for on-site installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and security solutions.

• Key ResponsibilitiesExecute and manage on-site IT infrastructure and system integration projects.
• Install, configure, test, and commission LAN/WAN networking equipment, managed switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and related devices.
• Handle IP CCTV cameras, NVRs, VMS software, storage systems, and surveillance accessories.
• Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, servers, storage devices, and other IT hardware.
• Supervise structured cabling work, including CAT6, fiber optic cable (OFC), patch panels, racks, LIUs, and termination.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams for smooth execution.
• Conduct site surveys, prepare installation reports, and maintain project documentation.
• Ensure project delivery within defined timelines and quality standards.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide onsite troubleshooting and after-sales support.
• Maintain material consumption records, installation checklists, and project status reports.
• Follow site safety procedures and maintain professional customer relationships.

Technical Skills Required

1. Networking

• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4 addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing and switching.
• Hands-on experience with managed switches, routers, wireless access points, and LAN/WAN connectivity.
• Knowledge of CAT6 cabling, OFC connectivity, patch panels, and rack dressing.

2. Surveillance & Security

• Hands-on experience with IP CCTV cameras, NVRs, PoE switches, and VMS.
• Knowledge of camera installation, IP configuration, recording setup, and remote viewing.
• Understanding of surveillance troubleshooting and basic network integration.
• Knowledge of Hikvision or other major CCTV OEM products will be an advantage.

3. IT Hardware

• Knowledge of desktop computers, workstations, servers, storage, UPS, and rack-mounted equipment.
• Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, device drivers, and peripheral integration.

4. Additional Skills

• Ability to read technical drawings, BOQs, and basic network layouts.
• Knowledge of access control, video door phones, PA systems, or other ELV solutions will be an added advantage.
• Good troubleshooting, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Educational QualificationDiploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
• Relevant technical certifications or practical experience will be an advantage.
• Desired Candidate Profile2–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, networking, CCTV, or system integration projects.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across Kolkata and other locations as required.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and coordinate with project teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Must be comfortable with fieldwork, installation, commissioning, and project execution.
