Job Role of a Team Leader (TL) – HDFC Life1. Recruitment & Team Building

• Recruit new Insurance Advisors/Financial Consultants.
• Conduct interviews and onboarding.
• Ensure advisors complete mandatory licensing and training requirements.

2. Training & Development

• Train advisors on HDFC Life products and sales processes.
• Conduct daily morning meetings, coaching sessions, and field training.
• Improve advisors' selling and communication skills.

3. Sales & Business Development

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual premium targets.
• Support advisors in generating leads and closing sales.
• Develop new business through personal networking, referrals, and corporate contacts.

4. Team Management

• Monitor advisor productivity and performance.
• Motivate the team through recognition, contests, and incentives.
• Help low-performing advisors improve their performance.

5. Customer Relationship Management

• Ensure customers receive the right insurance solutions.
• Resolve customer queries and support policy servicing.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention.

6. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all sales comply with IRDAI guidelines and company policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and KYC records.
• Prevent mis-selling and uphold ethical sales practices.

7. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
• Track KPIs such as recruitment, activation, premium collection, and policy issuance.
• Report team performance to the Branch Manager or Sales Manager.
