Chinese Chef

Benfish Revelry is seeking a skilled and passionate Chinese Chef specializing in popular Indo-Chinese cuisine. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality, delicious, and consistent Chinese dishes, managing wok stations, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring fast-paced order fulfillment during rush hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Cooking: Master the preparation and cooking of Indo-Chinese menu items, including noodles, fried rice, soups, starters (chilli chicken, Manchurian, drumsticks), and signature gravies.
• Wok Station Operation: Maintain precise control over high-heat wok cooking to ensure authentic taste, texture, and presentation.
• Mise en Place: Prepare ingredients ahead of shift, including chopping, marinating meats, preparing sauces, and stocking stations.
• Quality & Portion Control: Follow standardized recipes to maintain taste consistency, portion sizes, and presentable plating.
• Hygiene & Food Safety: Maintain strict cleanliness standards across cooking stations, utensils, and food storage units in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Stock & Inventory Management: Monitor daily stock levels of Chinese sauces, vegetables, meats, and dry ingredients, notifying the kitchen supervisor when supplies are low.

Requirements & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Chinese Chef, Wok Chef, or Commi in a casual dining restaurant or fast-food outlet.
• Culinary Expertise: Strong mastery of Indo-Chinese flavor profiles, sauces, and wok cooking techniques.
• Speed & Multitasking: Ability to handle high-volume ticket orders efficiently during peak lunch and dinner services.
• Education: Prior culinary training or a diploma in catering is preferred, though practical experience is prioritized.
• Teamwork: Good communication and coordination with kitchen utility staff and front-of-house stewards.

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: ₹10,000 to ₹22,000 (commensurate with experience and skill level)
• Duty Hours: 12 hours daily shift
• Time Off: 1 weekly off day
• Additional Benefits: Duty meals provided during shifts
