Job SummaryPRB Infotech Sales & Service Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and skilled Chip-Level Laptop Engineer to handle laptop motherboard diagnostics, troubleshooting and board-level repairs.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of laptop motherboard repair, SMD components, BIOS, power circuits and IC-level troubleshooting.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair laptop motherboard faults at component and chip level.
• Troubleshoot No Power, No Display, Charging, Short Circuit, Heating and Restart issues.
• Perform motherboard-level diagnosis using schematic and board-view diagrams.
• Identify faulty ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, coils and other SMD components.
• Handle DC jack and charging circuit repairs.
• Troubleshoot laptop power sequencing and power-rail-related issues.
• Perform BIOS programming, BIOS replacement and BIOS-related troubleshooting.
• Handle EC/KBC and other controller-related faults.
• Perform SMD component replacement and rework.
• Carry out jumper/wire modifications where technically appropriate.
• Diagnose USB, HDMI, Type-C, audio, LAN and other motherboard circuits.
• Perform short-circuit detection and component-level troubleshooting.
• Use laboratory power supply and multimeter for motherboard diagnostics.
• Work with schematics and board-view software.
• Maintain proper records of received devices, diagnosis, repair status and replaced components.
• Ensure repaired laptops are properly tested before delivery.
• Coordinate with the service team regarding repair status and customer requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of customer devices and components.

• Apple MacBook — added advantage
• Candidate ProfileStrong practical troubleshooting ability.
• Good understanding of electronic components and circuits.
• Ability to diagnose faults independently.
• Good soldering and rework skills.
• Should be able to work under repair/service deadlines.
• Responsible for proper handling of customer equipment.
• Willing to learn new motherboard technologies and repair techniques.

QualificationMinimum: ITI / Diploma / Technical certification in Electronics or equivalent practical experience.

Candidates with strong hands-on chip-level repair experience may be considered irrespective of formal qualification.

Experience 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Experienced candidates with strong chip-level repair skills may be offered a higher salary based on their practical ability.

Salary₹25,000 – ₹45,000 per month + Performance Incentives

Salary will depend on experience, technical skill and practical assessment.
