Job Description
Job Title: Bengali Cook / Chef
Establishment: Benfish Revelry
Location: Kolkata, West Bengal | Type: Full-time
Role Overview
Responsible for preparing authentic Bengali cuisine and signature seafood dishes, maintaining taste consistency, and ensuring strict kitchen hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook classic Bengali seafood curries (Kalia, Jhol, Malai Curry), gravies, rice items, and meat dishes.
- Prepare traditional fish snacks and starters (Fish Fry, Fish Finger, Cutlets) following standard recipes.
- Clean, descale, portion, and properly store fresh fish and seafood.
- Maintain station cleanliness, follow FSSAI food safety norms, and manage prep during peak service hours.
- Monitor daily ingredient stock and minimize food wastage.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Bengali commercial cooking or catering.
- Expertise in Bengali spices, mustard gravies, and seafood handling.
- Ability to work fast-paced shifts, weekends, and festive peak seasons.
