Service Engineer

The Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service support for Cognecto’s software, vehicle tracking systems, GPS/VTS devices, and related technology solutions. The role involves coordinating with customers, field teams, and internal technical teams to ensure smooth operation of deployed systems and timely resolution of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and maintain GPS/VTS devices and related equipment at customer and project sites.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, GPS, and device-related issues.
• Monitor vehicle tracking systems and identify device communication, data, and connectivity problems.
• Provide technical support to customers, field teams, contractors, and project personnel.
• Conduct regular site visits for installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and system verification.
• Coordinate with the technical and development teams to resolve software and system-related issues.
• Verify GPS device functionality, vehicle connectivity, location data, and tracking accuracy.
• Assist in configuring and maintaining geofences, vehicle details, device mappings, and other system parameters when required.
• Maintain records of installations, service requests, troubleshooting activities, replacements, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare service reports and provide timely updates on issue status and resolution.
• Train customers and field personnel on the proper use of VTS devices and Cognecto software when required.
• Ensure timely escalation of unresolved technical issues to the appropriate internal teams.
• Support system testing, deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities.
• Follow company procedures and maintain proper documentation for all service activities.
• Travel to project locations as required for field support and customer service.
