Senior Cashier

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle daily cash, card, UPI, and other payment transactions accurately.
• Process customer bills, invoices, receipts, refunds, and payments.
• Maintain and prepare daily cash and transaction ledgers, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and timely reporting of all receipts, payments, and financial transactions
• Perform daily cash counting and reconciliation with sales and system reports.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in cash, billing, or payment records.
• Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the supervisor/accounts department.
• Coordinate with the accounts and finance teams regarding payments and reconciliations.
• Assist with bank deposits and cash collection procedures when required.
• Handle customer queries related to billing, payments, and refunds professionally.
• Follow company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
• Assist during audits and provide required transaction records and documentation.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of experience as a Cashier, Senior Cashier, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cash handling, billing, POS systems, and payment processes.
• Good understanding of basic accounting and reconciliation procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent numerical and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume transactions.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and responsibility.
