Job Description
- 1. Client & Subcontractor BillingPrepare and submit Running Account (RA) Bills, Proforma Invoices, and Final Bills to clients as per contractual milestones and work progress.
- Receive, verify, and process monthly or milestone-based bills from subcontractors and vendors against physical work done on-site.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining Measurement Books (MB) and joint measurement sheets signed by client representatives.
- 2. Site Measurement & Quantity VerificationPerform physical site inspections and cross-verify measurements taken by site engineers against structural drawings and standard codes (e.g., IS 1200).
- Prepare and audit Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for steel reinforcement and reconcile actual usage against budgeted quantities.
- 3. Material Reconciliation & Cost ControlConduct periodic theoretical vs. actual material reconciliations for key building materials (cement, steel, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, bricks, etc.) to track wastage and prevent financial leakage.
- Calculate recoveries from contractors/vendors for material, power, water, or machinery provided by the main firm.
- 4. Contract Management & Extra ClaimsReview the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), contract clauses, specifications, and scope of work.
- Identify, prepare, and submit variation orders, extra item claims, and rate analyses for work executed outside the original contract scope.
- Track work progress vs. planned billing cycles to prevent under-billing or payment delays.
- 5. Documentation & Audit ComplianceMaintain comprehensive records of approved drawings, GFCs (Good for Construction), measurement records, rate analysis sheets, and tax documents (e.g., GST compliance).
- Coordinate with audit teams and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes amicably.
