Video Editor

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail oriented Podcast Video Editor to join our team and take ownership of the complete post production process for our video podcasts.

You will work on long-form podcast episodes as well as short-form content for Instagram, YouTube Shorts and other social-media platforms.

The ideal candidate understands storytelling, pacing, sound, colour and social-media content — not just basic video cutting.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit long-form video podcast episodes from raw camera and audio footage.
• Sync and edit footage from multiple cameras and audio sources.
• Create engaging camera cuts, punch-ins, zooms and transitions while maintaining a natural podcast flow.
• Perform professional colour correction and basic colour grading.
• Clean and enhance dialogue/audio, including noise reduction and level balancing.
• Add subtitles, captions, graphics, lower thirds and other visual elements where required.
• Create engaging Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts from long-form podcast episodes.
• Identify strong moments, hooks and soundbites that can work as short-form content.
• Create attention-grabbing openings for short-form videos.
• Maintain consistent branding across all podcast episodes and social-media content.
• Work with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain a regular publishing schedule.
• Organise project files, footage, audio and exports properly.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Good knowledge of Adobe After Effects is an advantage.
• Experience editing podcasts, interviews, YouTube videos or similar long-form content.
• Good understanding of short-form content and social-media trends.
• Strong sense of storytelling and pacing.
• Knowledge of colour correction and basic colour grading.
• Good understanding of dialogue editing and audio mixing.
• Ability to work with multi-camera footage.
• Ability to independently take a raw recording and turn it into a polished final episode.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Adobe Premier Pro.
• Motion graphics and animation skills.
• Experience creating high-performing Reels/Shorts.
• Understanding of YouTube retention and social-media editing.
• Experience working with professional cameras and high-resolution 4K footage.

Work Structure

This is a full-time, in-office role in Mumbai.

The editor will work closely with the podcast production team and will be responsible for delivering both:

Long-form:

• Full podcast episodes
• YouTube-ready exports
• Professional audio, colour and multi-camera editing

Short-form:

• Instagram Reels
• YouTube Shorts
• Promotional clips
• High-retention clips and highlights
