Guest Service & Experience

• Greet and escort guests to their tables in a professional, courteous manner
• Present menus and explain dishes, ingredients, and specials
• Recommend food and wine pairings (often coordinating with a sommelier)
• Take accurate orders and ensure special requests are noted
• Maintain high standards of personalized service throughout the dining experience

🧑‍🍳 Coordination with Kitchen & Bar

• Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Ensure timely service of courses (appetizer → main → dessert)
• Check food presentation and quality before serving
• Handle any delays or issues proactively

👥 Team Supervision

• Supervise and guide waiters/servers assigned to their station
• Train junior staff on service standards and etiquette
• Allocate tables and duties efficiently during service
• Ensure grooming, discipline, and professionalism of staff

🧾 Order & Billing Management

• Monitor table orders and ensure accuracy
• Coordinate billing and ensure correct checks are presented
• Handle payment processes (cash/card/digital) smoothly
• Resolve billing discrepancies if any

🧼 Quality & Hygiene Standards

• Ensure cleanliness and proper table setup (cutlery, glassware, linens)
• Maintain fine dining service standards (silver service, plating, etc.)
• Follow hygiene and safety regulations strictly

⚠️ Handling Guest Concerns

• Address complaints or special requests calmly and professionally
• Take immediate corrective action to ensure guest satisfaction
• Escalate serious issues to the restaurant manager when needed

📊 Inventory & Supplies

• Monitor stock of service items (napkins, cutlery, crockery)
• Report shortages or breakages
• Assist in inventory control when required

• Stay updated on menu changes and seasonal offerings
• Build rapport with regular guests for repeat business
