Store Keeper

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receipt & Inspection • Receive materials as per Purchase Order (PO), Delivery Challan, and Invoice. • Verify quantity, quality, and specifications of incoming materials. • Coordinate with the Quality and Site Engineering teams for inspection when required. • Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).

2. Material Storage • Arrange and store materials systematically according to category and safety requirements. • Ensure proper stacking and labeling of materials. • Maintain cleanliness and safety within the store area. • Protect materials from damage, theft, moisture, and deterioration.

3. Material Issue • Issue materials only against approved Material Requisition Slips (MRS).• Record all inward and outward transactions accurately. • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO principles where applicable. • Track the movement of tools and equipment issued to site personnel.

4. Inventory Management • Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records. • Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels. • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification. • Assist in physical stock audits and reconciliation.

5. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain: o Stock Register o Material Inward Register o Material Issue Register o Tool & Equipment Register o Return Material Register • Generate daily and monthly inventory reports. • Report shortages, excesses, damages, and discrepancies to management.

6. Coordination • Coordinate with Procurement for timely replenishment of materials. • Work closely with Site Engineers, Billing Engineers, and Project Managers regarding material requirements. • Support Finance and Audit teams during stock verification and documentation reviews.

7. Safety & Compliance • Follow company SOPs and inventory control procedures. • Ensure safe storage of hazardous and valuable materials.• Maintain compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. • Support implementation of 5S and housekeeping standards in the store.
