Accountant

• Key Responsibilities
• Daily Accounting
• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts and accounting records.
• Record purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments, journal entries and contra entries.
• Maintain cash book, bank book and general ledger.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
• Project-wise Accounting
• Maintain project-wise income and expenditure records.
• Track material purchases, labour payments, subcontractor bills and site expenses.
• Allocate expenses to the respective project/site.
• Prepare project-wise cost statements and expenditure reports.
• Monitor actual project expenditure against approved budgets.
• Vendor & Subcontractor AccountsMaintain vendor and subcontractor ledgers.
• Verify bills, work measurements and supporting documents before processing payments.
• Track advances, deductions, retentions and outstanding amounts.
• Prepare vendor payment schedules.
• Reconcile vendor accounts regularly.
• GST & Statutory Compliance
• Maintain GST-related records and documentation.
• Coordinate preparation and filing of GST returns.
• Verify purchase invoices and input tax credit eligibility.
• Maintain TDS records and coordinate TDS payments and returns.
• Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

Banking & Cash Management

• Record and reconcile all bank transactions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation.
• Maintain petty cash and site cash records.
• Monitor cash requirements for projects and office operations.
• Prepare payment requests and payment summaries for management approval.
• Payroll & Employee Accounts
• Prepare monthly salary statements and salary payment records.
• Maintain employee advances and recoveries.
• Check attendance payroll information and site teams.
• Maintain records of statutory deductions wherever applicable.
