Junior Account Executive

JOB DESCRIPTION – JUNIOR ACCOUNTANTPosition: Junior Accountant

• Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP.
• Handle sales invoices, purchase bills, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Verify and process transportation, freight, fuel, vehicle and vendor bills.
• Maintain customer and transporter/vendor ledgers.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliation.
• Track outstanding payments and receivables.
• Maintain records related to POD (Proof of Delivery), freight bills and transportation expenses.
• Assist in GST, TDS and other statutory compliance.
• Verify invoices and supporting documents before processing payments.
• Prepare basic MIS and monthly accounting reports.
• Coordinate with the Operations and Logistics teams regarding billing and accounting discrepancies.
• Assist Senior Accountant in month-end closing and other accounting activities.
• RequirementsB.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts, preferably in a logistics/transportation company.
• Good knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
• Working knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Understanding of transport billing, vendor reconciliation and freight accounting.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• PreferredPrior experience in a Logistics, Transport, Freight Forwarding or Supply Chain company.
• Knowledge of e-invoicing and e-way bills will be an added advantage.
