Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware Diagnostics & Repair: Identify faults and replace broken or defective laptop components including RAM, hard drives, batteries, and screens.
  • Software & OS Troubleshooting: Install and configure operating systems (Windows, macOS), drivers, and essential software.
  • System Maintenance: Perform routine cleanings, virus and malware removal, and install necessary security updates.
  • Data Management & Backup: Assist users with data recovery and safely transferring files during hardware failures.
  • Customer Support & Record Keeping: Explain repair steps clearly to clients, track inventory, and maintain logs of repaired equipment. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]



Essential Requirements

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of laptop architectures, electronic circuits, and IT components.
  • Diagnostics Skills: Strong ability to use hardware diagnostic tools and multimeters to pinpoint motherboard or power issues.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
  • Education & Certifications: A degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or industry certifications such as CompTIA A+.
