Site Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in construction site execution and project management. You will act as the pivotal bridge between the design office, project management, subcontractors, and labourers to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

·        Site Execution & Supervision: Oversee all structural and infrastructure civil works from earthworks and foundations to superstructure completion and final handoff. Ensure works strictly align with approved structural drawings and specifications.

·        Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC): Conduct daily structural inspections, check reinforcement layouts, supervise concrete pours, and monitor materials testing (such as soil, concrete slump, and 7/28-day cube strength tests).

·        Resource Optimization: Estimate material requirements, track Bill of Quantities (BOQ), manage on-site material procurement, and handle subcontractor billing. Optimize workforce and equipment allocation.

·        Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with Project Managers, architects, design teams, and local regulatory bodies to clear operational bottlenecks and troubleshoot design deficiencies on-site.

·        Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior site engineers, supervisors, and labor crews. Effectively delegate work shifts and resolve technical conflicts.

·        Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce health and safety protocols (such as OSHA or equivalent local regulations). Ensure the project aligns with environmental regulations and local building codes.

·        Reporting

& Tracking: Maintain accurate site documentation including daily progress reports, site logs, inventory diaries, and modification/change order logs.

Technical Skills & Competencies

·        Deep technical understanding of building construction methods, structural engineering, concrete technology, and foundation layout.

·        Billing and Site Measurement

·        Strong blueprint reading proficiency; ability to interpret structural, MEP, and architectural drawings flawlessly.

·        Competency in using surveying equipment like robotic total stations, dumpy levels, and GPS trackers.

·        Proficiency in engineering and planning software like AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera P6, alongside standard office tools (MS Excel).

·        Excellent project planning, budgeting, and critical thinking capabilities.

Required Qualifications & Education

·        Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution.

·        Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verified field experience as a Site Engineer. Proven track record of managing commercial, residential, or large-scale infrastructure projects from site mobilization through completion.
