Site Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day site execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and BOQ.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, labour teams, suppliers, consultants, and government officials.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and government standards.
• Take and maintain accurate site measurements for completed works.
• Prepare Measurement Sheets / Measurement Books (MB) and support preparation of contractor bills.
• Verify quantities executed at site against the BOQ and approved drawings.
• Assist in preparation and checking of RA Bills, final bills, and supporting documents.
• Maintain proper records of site progress, measurements, material consumption, and work completion.
• Monitor quality of materials and workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Check materials delivered to site and maintain proper records.
• Coordinate with the client department/engineer and address site-related technical issues.
• Read and interpret civil/architectural drawings, BOQ, specifications, and tender documents.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within the required timeline.
• Identify delays, technical issues, quantity variations, and other site-related concerns and report them to management.
• Maintain daily progress reports, site reports, inspection records, measurement records, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate and arrange required inspections and approvals from the concerned authorities.
• Ensure proper execution of variation/additional works and maintain supporting measurements and documentation.
• Assist in maintaining records related to work orders, tenders, agreements, specifications, and government correspondence.
• Ensure proper safety practices are followed at the project site.
• Perform other site and project-related responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in site execution, preferably in government contracting projects.
• Good knowledge of BOQ, quantity estimation, measurements, MB, RA Bills, and billing procedures.
• Good understanding of civil construction work and site execution.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of government tender procedures and documentation will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of measurement and quantity calculations.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to independently manage site activities and coordinate with multiple parties.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
