Job Description
Key Responsibilities:-
- Optical Fiber Installation: Fiber cable laying, routing, dressing, and installation as per site requirements.
- Fiber Splicing: Perform Fusion Splicing and fiber jointing activities.
- Fiber Termination: OTDR-based testing, termination, patching, and connectorization.
- Fiber Testing: Use OTDR, Power Meter, Light Source, VFL and other testing equipment to identify fiber faults.
- Fault Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve fiber cuts, high attenuation, signal loss, bending loss, and connectivity issues.
- Fiber Restoration: Attend emergency fiber cuts and restore connectivity within required SLA/TAT.
- Maintenance: Preventive and corrective maintenance of OFC networks.
- Network Documentation: Maintain fiber routes, splice diagrams, OTDR reports, joint details, and fault records.
- Site Coordination: Coordinate with NOC, field teams, contractors, and customers during installation and restoration.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure proper fiber installation, splicing quality, cable protection, and adherence to safety procedures.
- Material Handling: Manage fiber cables, joints, closures, connectors, patch cords, and other field materials.
- Field Visits: Travel to different sites/routes for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and restoration work.
