Mechanical Design Engineer

LUXOX is looking for a skilled and practical Mechanical Design Engineer to join our product development and manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for developing technically accurate and production-ready designs for outdoor furniture, metal structures, mechanisms, components, jigs and fixtures.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop 2D drawings and 3D models for furniture frames, components and mechanisms.
• Work extensively with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, sections and assembly details.
• Design products using aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel and other engineering materials.
• Develop designs suitable for CNC pipe bending, laser cutting, welding, machining and fabrication.
• Calculate bend radius, tube development, angles, dimensions and material requirements.
• Create BOMs (Bill of Materials) and production documentation.
• Develop jigs, fixtures and templates for repetitive manufacturing.
• Work closely with production, welding, fabrication, upholstery and QC teams.
• Convert concepts, photographs, samples and sketches into manufacturable products.
• Improve existing products for strength, weight reduction, manufacturing efficiency and cost optimization.
• Assist in prototype development, testing and design corrections.
• Understand and develop moving/folding/reclining mechanisms where required.
• Support reverse engineering of samples and components.

Candidates with experience in furniture, automobile components, metal fabrication, sheet metal, machinery or consumer-product manufacturing will be preferred.

Qualification & ExperienceB.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Preferred experience: 2–5 years in mechanical/product design and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on and production-oriented—someone who can take a design from concept → engineering drawing → prototype → manufacturing → final production.
