Accountant/ Accounts Executive

Key responsibilities

• General accounting: Perform general ledger management, bank and account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities.
• Financial reporting: Prepare and analyze income statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GAAP).
• Cost accounting: Calculate and analyze production costs, monitor material, labor, and overhead rates, and analyze variances between expected and actual costs.
• Inventory management: Oversee inventory review for accuracy and cost accuracy, which is critical in a manufacturing setting.
• Accounts payable/receivable: Manage invoicing, verify and process payments, collect on past-due accounts, and ensure timely payment of vendors.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws (including sales and use tax) and other regulations, and provide support for internal and external audits.
• Process improvement: Help develop and improve key processes and internal controls for cost accounting and other functions. 

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in accounting, with manufacturing or supply chain experience being a strong plus.
