Electronics Technician

We are hiring an Electronics Technician to build and test EV charging stations in our assembly unit. The role covers hand-soldering and rework on PCBs, assembling charger enclosures and wiring power and control components into finished, tested units.

PCB soldering and rework

• Solder through-hole (THT) and surface-mount (SMD) components on PCBs as per BOM, schematics and assembly drawings.
• Carry out rework: desoldering, component replacement, fixing bridges, dry joints and damaged tracks.
• Inspect solder joints visually and under magnification

EV charger enclosure assembly

• Assemble charger boxes and enclosures: drilling, cutting, mounting DIN rails, glands, brackets, displays and panels.
• Mount and fix PCBs, power supplies, contactors, MCBs/RCCBs, energy meters, relays, connectors and charging sockets/guns.
• Seal enclosures correctly (gaskets, cable glands) to maintain the required IP rating.

Wiring and harnessing

• Route, cut, strip, crimp and terminate power and control wiring as per wiring diagrams.
• Build cable harnesses; apply correct lugs, ferrules, sleeves and labels.
• Ensure proper earthing and wire sizing for AC/DC power circuits.

Testing and quality

• Perform continuity, insulation resistance, earth and polarity checks before power-on.
• Run functional tests on assembled chargers: power-up, display/app communication, charging session with test load or vehicle simulator.
• Diagnose faults to component level and fix them; record test results for every unit.

Documentation and support

• Maintain serial numbers, test reports and daily production logs.
• Report material shortages and recurring defects to the Production In-charge.
• Support installation, commissioning and repair of chargers when required.

Workplace and safety

• Follow all precautions and electrical safety procedures at all times.
• Keep tools, soldering stations and the workbench in good, calibrated condition.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area.
