Purchase Executive – FMCG

• Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for FMCG products and materials.
• Source products based on purchase requirements, sales forecasts, inventory levels, and business needs.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate rates, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation.
• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve supply-related issues.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse, sales, and inventory teams to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
• Maintain and regularly update vendor databases, price lists, product specifications, and purchase records.
• Track market prices, new products, competitor pricing, and supplier trends.
• Ensure purchased products meet agreed quality, quantity, packaging, shelf-life, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification, GRN, payments, and vendor reconciliation.
• Develop long-term relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Handle returns, shortages, damages, expiry-related issues, and vendor claims.
• Prepare regular MIS reports covering purchases, pending orders, stock position, vendor performance, and savings.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval processes
