QA/QC Engineer

The QA/QC Engineer owns inspection and quality documentation for pressure vessels, separators, piping and skids built to ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and ASME B31.3. The role covers U-stamped and non-U-stamped jobs, from incoming material to final hydrotest, client/TPI witness and dossier handover.

–       Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for each job.

–       Prepare, qualify and maintain WPS, PQR and WPQ records per ASME Section IX.

–       Review drawings, design calculations and client specifications for quality and inspection requirements.

–       Compile the final Manufacturer's Data Report (MDR) / quality dossier for client and TPI approval.

–       Carry out incoming inspection of plates, pipes, forgings, flanges and fittings against MTCs and ASME Section II.

–       Maintain material and heat-number traceability through cutting, forming and welding.

–       Perform fit-up, dimensional, orientation and visual weld inspections at each stage.

–       Monitor welding parameters, consumable control and welder continuity.

–       Perform and interpret NDT as a Level II: RT film/report review, UT, MPT, DPT (as per certification held).

–       Coordinate outsourced NDT, PWHT, PMI and hardness testing, and review reports against ASME Section V and VIII acceptance criteria.

–       Prepare and witness hydrostatic and pneumatic tests, including test packs for piping.

–       Check surface preparation, painting DFT and final inspection before dispatch.

–       Coordinate with the Authorized Inspector (AI) on U-stamped jobs, including hold points and data report sign-off.

–       Coordinate client, TPI and classification inspections (e.g. DNV, BV, LRS, EIL) and close their comments.

Verify NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 compliance for sour-service jobs

–       Raise and close NCRs, carry out root cause analysis and track corrective actions.

–       Maintain calibration records for gauges, instruments and welding machines.

–       Support ISO 9001:2015 and ASME internal and external audits.
