Job Description – Loan Officer

Position: Loan Officer

Department: Bharat Super Shop (BSS)

Reports To: Branch Manager

Age Criteria: 18–32 Years

Job Type: Full-Time | Field Sales

1. Job Summary

The Loan Officer will be responsible for acquiring and servicing small retailers and business outlets under the Bharat Super Shop (BSS) model. The role involves promoting loan products, generating leads, acquiring new customers, building customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and carrying out collection activities. This is an outbound field-based role requiring strong interpersonal, communication, and sales skills.

2. Key Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition

Conduct market surveys to identify potential customers interested in loans.

Generate leads and acquire new customers to expand the customer base.

Identify and approach small retailers and business outlets for loan products.

Sales and Revenue Generation

Promote overdraft and retail loan products to eligible customers.

Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and customer acquisition targets.

Follow up on leads and convert prospects into customers.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

Provide timely assistance and support to customers regarding loan services.

Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up.

Collections and Portfolio Management

Conduct collection activities and follow up on outstanding payments.

Improve collection efficiency and minimize customer delinquency.

Maintain regular communication with customers to support timely repayments.

Field Operations

Travel extensively within assigned areas to meet customers and retailers.

Work independently while coordinating with the branch team.

Maintain accurate customer records and submit regular field activity reports.

3. Skills and Qualifications Required

Education: 10th Pass / PUC / Matriculation.

Experience: 0–2 years; freshers may apply.

Good sales, customer handling, and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High degree of self-motivation, ambition, and target orientation.

Ability to work effectively in a competitive environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in English, Hindi, and the local vernacular language, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork.

4. Mandatory Requirements

Must own an insured two-wheeler.

Must possess a valid driving licence.

Must be comfortable with extensive field travel.

Must be willing to work toward sales and collection targets.

5. Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates with strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and an interest in sales, lending, microfinance, or the banking and financial services industry are encouraged to apply.
