Plant / Factory Head

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management:
• Plan, organize, and direct production schedules to meet targets and customer demands.
• Optimize production processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Quality Assurance:
• Establish and maintain high-quality standards for all packaging products.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures and inspections.
• Address and resolve any quality-related issues or customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Operational Excellence:
• Manage overall plant operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, and supply chain.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of employees across various departments.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate and report all incidents and near misses.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the plant's operational budget.
• Monitor costs and implement strategies to control expenses.
• Analyze financial performance and report on key metrics.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue generation.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Liaise with raw material suppliers, customers, and other external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, marketing, and R&D.
• Represent the plant in meetings and discussions with senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or relevant field) or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in packaging.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
