Job Description
- Supervise daily construction activities, including RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, painting, and finishing works.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved architectural and structural drawings.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, labour teams, and vendors.
- Ensure the availability of materials, labour, and equipment as per site requirements.
- Quality Control
- Inspect the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain quality inspection records and checklists.
- Planning and Progress Monitoring
- Prepare daily work plans and monitor progress against project schedules.
- Ensure assigned activities are completed within committed timelines.
- Identify delays and immediately report issues to the Project Manager.
- Submit daily progress reports with site photographs.
- Drawing and Measurement
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Verify measurements and site dimensions.
- Coordinate with the billing and quantity surveying teams for work measurements and contractor bills.
- Maintain records of completed work and material consumption.
- Safety and Site Management
- Ensure workers follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Conduct routine site safety inspections.
- Maintain site cleanliness, housekeeping, and proper material storage.
- Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
- Coordination and Documentation
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Maintain daily site reports, labour attendance, material records, and work checklists.
- Follow up on pending activities and ensure timely closure.
- Escalate technical issues and execution challenges promptly.
- Required Qualifications and SkillsDiploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–4 years of experience in residential or high-rise building construction.
- Good knowledge of RCC, finishing works, construction drawings, and site execution.
- Ability to manage contractors, labour, and multiple site activities.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel is preferred.
- Strong focus on quality, safety, productivity, and deadlines.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Completion of work within committed timelines.
- Quality of execution and reduction in rework.
- Daily progress reporting and documentation accuracy.
- Effective contractor and labour management.
- Compliance with site safety standards.
- Timely closure of pending work and defects.
