Tax And Audit Intern

Responsibilities for tax internship :

• Analysis and preparation of scenarios in Excel to provide tax estimates

• Participate in our intern orientation, technical training and development program designed to give you the tools needed to immediately contribute to client engagements

• Research and draft technical memorandum to support tax return reporting positions, responses to Tax department Information Document Requests and Notices of Proposed Adjustments, Protests of Proposed Examination Changes, Private Letter Ruling requests, and penalty abatement requests

• Assist with client representation at Department, Appeals, and Collections

• Preparation of Income Tax Returns and Information Reports

• Draft internal correspondence on topical tax law issues

• Negotiate voluntary disclosures for delinquent unclaimed property reports and tax returns

• Conduct due diligence to identify tax exposure for various transactions

• Work on all aspects of an audit including cash, bank reconciliations, auditing accounts payable, performing searches for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs and preparing audit work papers

• Responsible for assisting in areas of Audits, Reviews, Compilations and Accounting services
