JOB Description

Role –Electrical Design Engineer

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components based on project specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate with other engineering teams and ensure that all designs are feasible, efficient, and comply with safety regulations. The role is based in Thane, Maharashtra and requires good level of technical expertise and logical acumen to work on variety of projects having electrical & Automation Content.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare SLD for 33KV/11 KV /440V Power Distribution, SS design, Equipment sizing & selection, Cable Sizing, Cable & Tray routing, Street Light Calculation etc.
• Prepare and develop electrical panel designs, PLC Panel Designs, SLDs, and schematics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Create GA (General Arrangement) drawings and wiring diagrams for PLC, MCC, PCC, APFC, AMF, D.G Synchronizing panels, and various other types.
• Select and specify switchgear and electrical components suited to the application and project requirements.
• Perform electrical calculations such as load, short circuit, cable sizing, and busbar calculations.
• Generate bills of material (BOM) and technical documentation for manufacturing and procurement.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including project managers, clients, site engineers, and other stakeholders for project integration.
• Address technical queries and support project execution and site teams as needed.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international standards (e.g., IS, IEC, NEC, UL).
• Conduct fabrication inspections and quality assurance for manufactured panels.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and design principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN or SolidWorks.
• 3 to 4 years experience in electrical panel design, SLD preparation, and project documentation

·       Understanding of applicable industry standards and safety regulations.
