Job Description
- Packing
- Fill products into bags, pouches, boxes, or other approved packaging.
- Weigh products according to the required quantity.
- Seal, label, and arrange finished products.
- Check packaging for damage or incorrect labels. Desiccated-coconut processing commonly includes drying, sieving/grading, and packing. UUNIDO Downloads
- Cleaning and hygiene
- Clean processing equipment, work areas, floors, tables, and utensils.
- Follow personal hygiene and GMP/food-safety procedures.
- Wear required PPE such as gloves, hairnets, masks, safety footwear, or other protective equipment.
- Prevent food contamination by keeping raw and finished products properly separated. FFICSI+1
- Material movement
- Transport raw materials, semi-finished products, packaging materials, and finished goods using approved handling methods.
- Keep production areas organized and free from unnecessary materials.
- Machine and workplace safety
- Operate only machines/equipment for which the worker has been trained.
- Follow machine guards and safety procedures.
- Report machine breakdowns, unusual noise, leakage, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Never bypass safety devices.
- Production records
- Record or assist supervisors with quantities processed, packed, rejected, or wasted when required.
- Follow production instructions and shift targets.
- Teamwork and discipline
- Follow instructions from the Production Supervisor/Line Leader.
- Work cooperatively with other production workers.
- Maintain punctuality, attendance, discipline, and cleanliness.
- Report problems immediately rather than continuing unsafe or incorrect work.
