Job Description
Café Chef – Flowcult Surfskate Park
Location: Edava, Varkala, Kerala
Salary: ₹25,000–₹35,000 per month, depending on experience.
Flowcult is a new surfskate park and community café in Varkala, bringing together surfing, skating, good food and a healthy lifestyle. We're looking for a passionate and experienced chef to help us launch and manage our café.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop a creative menu featuring continental dishes, healthy breakfasts, sandwiches, wraps, salads and smoothie bowls.
• Help set up the kitchen and establish daily operations.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and hygiene.
• Manage inventory, food costing and portion control.
• Coordinate with café staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Introduce new dishes and seasonal specials.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience.
• Experience in continental cuisine and café-style food.
• Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food costing and inventory management.
• Creativity, reliability and a positive attitude.
• Previous experience opening a café or developing a menu is an advantage.
