Cancer Coach – Physician Assistant

Role Overview

We are looking for a compassionate, patient-focused Cancer Coach – Physician Assistant to support cancer patients and their families through patient education, counselling, medication awareness, and care coordination. The ideal candidate should have a Doctor of Pharmacy qualification, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, prescribed medications, treatment plans, and self-care practices.
• Establish patient care goals and support patients in understanding their healthcare needs.
• Address patient and caregiver queries with patience, empathy, and appropriate medical knowledge.
• Provide individual and group counselling to help patients and caregivers cope with treatment-related challenges and lifestyle adjustments.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
• Maintain patient-related information and support knowledge management for the healthcare team.
• Build positive relationships with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Travel to network clinics and hospitals as required to provide patient assistance and support.

Required Skills

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Telugu and English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient counselling.
• Good computer skills and the ability to maintain patient-related records.
• Strong listening, coordination, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to handle patient concerns with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Good problem-solving, teamwork, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Willingness to travel to hospitals and network clinics as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Pharm.D graduate with 1–3 years of relevant experience in a hospital, oncology centre, clinical pharmacy, or patient counselling role.
• Passionate about patient care, health education, and supporting individuals through their cancer care journey.
• Comfortable interacting with patients and caregivers from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organisational skills and a patient-first approach.
