Warranty Analyst

 

1. The Warranty Supplier Recovery Engineer is responsible for recovering the warranty spend amount from NA suppliers ( for supplier parts failures in Ford vehicles built in NA & sold globally) for allocated commodity ( Eg : Power train, Electrical, Interior , Underbody, Exterior). 
2. Responsibilities include sending the monthly debit packs/warranty claims to suppliers and needs to manage supplier responses/queries through emails/meetings.
3. In the event of supplier disputes, they need to work with Ford PD/Product Development team to resolve it.
4. Negotiate with suppliers to get better share rate % / recovery for Ford. 
5. If supplier wants physical parts for analysis, they need to coordinate and ship samples to suppliers. They must get failure/root cause analysis report from suppliers to prevent failure recurrence. 
6. Responsible to implement efficiency innovation projects through automation of manual reports if any by utilizing data analytical tools. 
7. Overall, the intent of this team to get recovery for Ford and to improve suppliers’ parts quality thereby increasing retention at Ford network.

1. Good communication (both oral & written), presentation and Interpersonal skills.
2. Data Analytics/Software & Technology skills (like Python, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI etc.,)
3. Technical/Engineering skills.
4. Passion to acquire new skills. 

 

Preferred Skills:

4. Negotiation & supplier handling skills.
5. Advanced computer skills (e.g. Excel Macros, Pivot table, conditional formulas, analytics etc.)
6. Analytical & Problem solving.
7. Collaboration.

BE (Mechanical/Automobile/Mechatronics/EEE/ECE) & MBA (preferred but not mandatory)

Min 4~5 years of relevant work experience in automotive industry.
