Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Technician - Roads to join our infrastructure team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will oversee the construction, maintenance, and quality assurance of road projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

• Supervise and coordinate road construction and maintenance activities, including asphalt and concrete work, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within specifications
• Conduct detailed inspections and quality control assessments of road surfaces, materials, and construction methods using appropriate testing equipment and procedures
• Analyze project data and prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting findings, recommendations, and compliance with established standards
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and specialized equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety protocols
• Coordinate with project teams to identify and resolve technical issues, implementing corrective actions efficiently
• Monitor material quality and perform testing on aggregates, asphalt, and concrete to ensure they meet project specifications
• Maintain organized records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment logs for regulatory compliance and performance tracking
• Ensure all work sites adhere to safety regulations and best practices, conducting regular safety briefings and hazard assessments
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop maintenance schedules and optimize road infrastructure performance
• Train and mentor junior technicians on proper procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in road construction, maintenance, or infrastructure management
• Proven expertise in asphalt and concrete road work, including installation, repair, and quality assessment
• Strong proficiency in operating heavy machinery and specialized road maintenance equipment
• Demonstrated experience with material testing equipment and quality control procedures
• Solid understanding of road infrastructure standards, traffic management, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Experience with surveying tools and basic CAD software for project documentation and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications and data
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with proven capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed technical records and preparing comprehensive reports
• Knowledge of safety protocols and occupational health standards specific to road construction and maintenance
• Preferred: Supervisory or team leadership experience in a technical environment
• Preferred: Familiarity with local Bengaluru infrastructure standards and municipal regulations
• Preferred: Relevant safety certifications or technical qualifications in civil infrastructure
