Social Media Intern

About the Role

This is not a typical social media internship.

You'll work directly with the founder to help build our brand, grow our online presence, engage with communities, and get our product in front of the right audience through organic marketing.

If you're curious, proactive, enjoy experimenting with new ideas, and want to learn how startup growth really works, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Content Distribution

1. Publish and optimize content across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Reddit, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
2. Repurpose existing content into multiple formats suitable for different platforms.
3. Research hashtags, posting schedules, and engagement strategies.

Community Building

1. Identify online communities where our target audience is active.
2. Participate in discussions by adding value and building relationships.
3. Help establish a strong presence in relevant communities without spamming.

Influencer & Partnership Outreach

1. Research creators, communities, and partners aligned with our product.
2. Build outreach lists and initiate personalized conversations.
3. Track responses and maintain follow-up records.

Organic Growth Initiatives

1. Experiment with new channels and strategies for increasing brand awareness.
2. Identify opportunities for collaborations, guest posts, newsletters, and community engagement.
3. Suggest creative ideas to increase visibility without paid advertising.

Market & Competitor Research

1. Monitor competitor activities and marketing strategies.
2. Research industry trends and audience interests.
3. Present actionable insights and recommendations.

Performance Tracking

1. Track social media performance and website traffic.
2. Measure engagement, referral sources, and user acquisition.
3. Prepare simple weekly reports with observations and recommendations.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

1. Excellent written English.
2. Strong communication skills.
3. Curiosity and willingness to learn.
4. Good research and analytical skills.
5. Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
6. Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT for research and productivity.
7. Ability to work independently and take ownership.

Preferred Skills

1. Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, X, or other social platforms.
2. Canva or Figma.
3. Basic image or video editing.
4. Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
5. Experience managing personal or college social media pages is a plus.
