Job DescriptionIES is looking for an experienced VMC Programmer & Operator who can independently handle CNC/VMC machining jobs from 3D model/drawing to finished component.

• Key ResponsibilitiesRead and understand 2D engineering drawings, 3D models, dimensions, tolerances and basic GD&T.
• Create and modify VMC/CNC programs based on component requirements.
• Perform 3D CAD/CAM programming and generate toolpaths for machining.
• Handle 3D model-based programming for complex components.
• Perform complete machine setting, tool setting, work offset and tool offset.
• Select suitable cutting tools, speeds, feeds and machining parameters.
• Set jobs using vice, fixtures and other suitable work-holding methods.
• Operate VMC machines and monitor machining during production.
• Carry out first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
• Use Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge and other inspection instruments.
• Make necessary program and offset corrections to achieve required dimensions and surface finish.
• Troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, vibration, burrs, dimensional variation and poor surface finish.
• Handle both job-work and small-batch precision components.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, tooling and 5S.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
• Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience in VMC programming, setting and operation.
• Good knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Experience with 3D CAD/CAM software for CNC/VMC programming.
• Ability to generate toolpaths from 3D models.
• Good understanding of cutting tools and machining parameters.
• Ability to independently set and run jobs with minimum supervision.
• Good knowledge of machining materials such as MS, EN-series steels, aluminium, SS and engineering plastics.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• QualificationITI / Diploma in Machinist, Tool & Die, Mechanical or related field.
• Relevant practical experience will be given importance.

Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in precision engineering, tooling, fixtures, automotive components, job work or complex 3D machining will be preferred.

Salary₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on experience and programming/machining skills.
