Job Description
Operate VMC/CNC machines according to production requirements.
Read and understand engineering drawings and machining instructions.
Set up jobs, fixtures, tools, and workpieces on the VMC machine.
Load and unload components safely and correctly.
Check tool offsets and make minor offset corrections when required.
Monitor machine operation and identify abnormal sounds, vibrations, or machining problems.
Perform in-process inspection using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.
Maintain required component dimensions and surface finish.
Follow CNC programs and production instructions.
Maintain production quantity and quality targets.
Perform basic machine cleaning and daily maintenance.
Follow safety procedures and 5S practices.
Report tool wear, machine problems, quality issues, or breakdowns to the supervisor.
Maintain production and inspection records.
